Destin School of the Arts

Destin School of the Arts is committed to providing a safe, enthusiastic, and inspirational learning environment for student artists of all ages striving to hone their talents and enhance the beauty of God’s greatest masterpiece. With our Production Team of artists, musicians, and performers, we operate on the belief that the ARTS are for EVERYONE and strive to provide a variety of unique ways for students of all ages to express themselves in a creative space that generously allows for their gifts to show through.

Current Curriculum:

Destin School of the Arts provides instruction in a wide range of the arts to student artists of all ages. Private lessons, group classes, and master-class workshops are just a few of the available opportunities for our community to come take part in! Pre-K Arts Enrichment Program 2017-2018
Pre-K Ballet 

Enhancing the Word (Instructed by Kim Heartsong, DSOTA Artist in Residence) – Beginning Level: Students 14 and up
Meets every Monday from 4:30PM - 6:30PM beginning January 15, 2018 and running through March 5, 2018.
$25  Registration Fee to hold spot – DUE UPON REGISTRATION
$100  Class Fee due by the first class – includes art supplies for the full 8 weeks of class
Required - Each student is responsible for purchasing a vellum paper Bible 

Acrylic Painting (Instructed by Kim Heartsong, Artist in Residence) – Beginning / Refresher Course: Adults
Meets every Monday from 10:00AM - 11:30AM beginning January 15, 2018 and running through March 26, 2018.
$25 Registration Fee to hold spot - DUE UPON REGISTRATION
$125 Class Fee due by the first class – includes art supplies, minus canvases


Creative Writing (Instructed by Rachel Reese, DSOTA Guest Artist) – 6th through 8th grade students:
Meets every Tuesday from 4:30PM – 5:30PM beginning January 23, 2018 and running through February 27, 2018
$25 Registration Fee to hold spot - DUE UPON REGISTRATION
$65 Class Fee due by the first class
Each student is responsible for reading “ Frisby and the Rats of NIHM” prior to the beginning of the classes.

Destin Local Vocals – Performance Choir for singers in the 4TH - 8TH grades
Meets Wednesdays, 4:30PM - 5:15PM beginning in January 17, 2018
Option for students to be picked up from school and transported to Destin School of the Arts during the regular school year.
$20 participation fee due once per year - DUE UPON REGISTRATION
